EcoSecurities, in partnership with Anzana Electric Group, invites stakeholders to participate in the National Stakeholder Consultation for the development of the REACH-Zambia Programme — the Renewable Energy Access and Carbon Finance Programme.
The programme aims to support the development and operation of small-scale renewable energy generation in Zambia, starting with run-of-river and solar photovoltaic power plants in the North-Western and Luapula Provinces. The programme will deliver clean and reliable electricity to rural communities while generating high-integrity carbon credits under the Verified Carbon Standard (Verra). The initiative contributes to Zambia’s Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) targets and to the operationalisation of Article 6 of the Paris Agreement, and has received a Letter of No Objection from the Ministry of Green Economy and Environment.
During the consultation, participants will be introduced to the programme’s objectives, participating entities, geographical boundary, duration, technologies and implementation plan, together with its expected sustainable development contributions, its environmental and social safeguards, and the site-level engagement planned in each chiefdom where a plant is located.
Stakeholders who may be directly or indirectly affected by the programme — including representatives of the energy sector, local communities, traditional authorities, public institutions, civil society organisations and private sector actors — are encouraged to attend and share their feedback by registering to attend the event or by submitting their feedback using the online form.

Participants will have the opportunity to provide comments during the session and for up to 30 days following the consultation through the designated communication channels. A further 30-day public comment period will be held on the Verra Registry once the programme is listed.
The meeting is open to anyone wishing to attend and no one will be denied access. Those unable to travel to Lusaka may join online.
