Bernardo Mattar

Head of Structuring

Bernardo is a C-Level Finance and Strategy professional with almost 20 years of experience in the finance sector, specializing in corporate finance, structured finance, strategy, financial planning and valuation. Bernardo has worked in various senior roles, including CFO at Nacala Logistics Mozambique and Corporate Finance Manager at Vale, where he focused on structured finance, M&A and developing efficient funding structures. His expertise lies in developing complex business and financial structures, long-term business strategy, and valuation assessment. He holds a Master’s degree in Finance from CIFF Business School (Spain), an MBA from PUC-RJ(Brazil), and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from UFRJ (Brazil).
Rodrigo Ferreira

Head of Government Affairs

Rodrigo has over 17 years in driving sustainability programs, in the fields of climate policy, E&S, bioeconomy, project and portfolio management and many others. Before joining ecosecurities Rodrigo worked 12 years as a Carbon Project Coordinator and organized Brazil’s Financial Innovation Lab involving 300 stakeholders and 1’000 members. Rodrigo holds an MBA in Business Administration from the Funduçao Dom Cabral.
Hugo Davies

Sales & Portfolio Manager

Hugo’s experience in the Voluntary Carbon Market has been split between brokering deals in the SPOT market and facilitating longer term project finance deals with investors who wanted to go further upstream. He continues to focus on growing the book of corporate buyers as well as maintaining key relationships with traders and liquidity providers in the secondary market. Prior to working the carbon market Hugo spent 8 years working in the insurance industry.

Structuring Specialist

Marcio is an international financial professional expert in banking, funding and project structuring with over 30 years working experience across the world for global organizations. He has a strong background in structuring finance for infrastructure and renewable projects in LATAM and EMEA, including leading business strategy, financial management and development of structured finance complex solutions and supported guarantees.
