Given the current need to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and accelerate the transitions to sustainable cattle ranching, EcoSecurities has launched the Carbono Rural Argentina project, which aims to sustainably manage and restore grasslands in Northeastern Argentina. The “Carbono Rural Argentina – Soil Carbon & Agriculture Project (NEA)” project is in progress according to the “Verified Carbon Standard” of Verra, and intends to generate carbon credits from the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions following the implementation of activities including; increasing soil organic carbon through improved cattle grazing management, improving soil quality, reducing the expansion of cattle ranching and building more climate resilient practices. EcoSecurities is coordinating the project, and its implementation is being carried out by landowners in Northeastern Argentina.
